BL 558 - Legal and Ethical Essentials for Business


This course is a comprehensive overview of the legal and ethical environment of business for today’s entrepreneurs and managers.Students will explore foundational legal principles and ethical frameworks that guide responsible decision-making in both domestic and international business contexts. Emphasis is placed on understanding how legal reasoning intersects with ethical considerations in areas such as employment practices, agency, contract formation, property rights (real, personal, and intellectual), raising capital, operational liabilities, insurance, and digital business concerns including internet law and social media.
